Jaylan Hankins & Christian Lopez are set to miss next week’s U21 Internationals with Bradley Banda expected to be recalled.
Hankins’ new club Extremadura UD issued a statement stating their first team has been put into isolation due to Covid-19. The player confirmed that the isolation will last 10 days which means he will be unable to link up with the squad for next week’s double-header against Netherlands and Portugal.
Lopez will be unavailable for next Thursday’s away trip to the Netherlands due to work commitments. The Europa goalkeeper confirmed that he will be free for the home tie against Portugal on the 13th October.
Julio’s known reluctance to release U21 eligible players from the senior squad will leave U21 coaches Michael Felice and Malcolm Martin with a problem if they are unable to recall Bradley Banda.
Jake Victor’s last appearance for the U21’s was back in June 2019 while a worst-case scenario could see Felice look at Bradley Avellano and John Paul Hernandez from the U19 squad.
