Boro and Juanfri both got on the score-sheet in St Joseph’s 3-1 win over Boca this afternoon.
After a nearly fifteen-minute delay which saw a Boca player removed from their team-sheet due to testing complications, the game got underway on a sunny afternoon at the Victoria Stadium.
It took eighteen minutes for St Joseph’s to take the lead, Domingo Ferrer Lopez latched onto a through ball and fired his shot past Jack Atkinson. Saints finished the half strongly with Boro and Juanfri scoring to make it 3-0 to Saints.
Boca was awarded a penalty on the 75th minute which Luke Wall dispatched to make it 3-1. Saints held on for the remaining fifteen minutes and secured themselves the three points on the opening day of the season.
