Last Thursday Gibraltar suffered a 6-0 defeat to Serbia – Ballantine reflected on the game, “We knew from the previous game the quality that Serbia had and it was going to be a very difficult challenge. We worked very hard to stick to our game plan but their quality showed and we were very disappointed with the score.”

Last time these sides met Russia ran out 3-0 winners, we asked how the team is feeling going into the game “Tonight we’ve got a second chance against Russia to prove to Gibraltar that we can compete at this level. The senior team win versus Latvia has given us a boost of confidence and we want come up with a good performance.”

It was clear to see last Sunday the benefits of playing in the Victoria Stadium – Ballantine had a message for the fans tonight, “A big turn up tonight would be great. We want the crowd to be as loud as they can and get behind the team as much as possible.”
