Ahead of tonight’s game against Cyprus, we caught up with Jean Carlos Garcia as he gave us his thoughts.
We asked how the team feels going into today’s game, “The team feels great and raring to go, i think our best performance in the group was away to Cyprus and we go into the match confident of getting a positive result.”
It’s been a long season for JC & his team mates, balancing international and domestic football has been a very difficult for them but will match fatigue play a factor in today’s game. JC answered “Yes its been a long hard season for many of us, but i feel when you represent your country, tiredness and fatigue go straight out of the window. It’s all about playing for the badge and the people back home supporting us.”
The last time these teams met, Cyprus ran out 3-1 winners with the scoreline at one point 1-1. We asked the team feels they can go one better this time around and get a result, “Personally i felt we were unlucky and maybe deserved a point out of that game. When we equalized we had a couple of chances to make it 2-1 before Cyprus scored their second. We will stick to over game plan by trying to stay in the game as long as possible, frustrate them and cause them problems.”
