The point puts Gib United on 14 points from 16 games, and leaves them in sixth place, “top” of the bottom half battle that is emerging in the league. For Glacis though, they will see the draw as a missed opportunity to try and keep pressure up on St Josephs; with seven points separating Glacis from third place their season is slowly drifting into mid-table obscurity.
It could have been worse for Glacis though, with Miguel Angel Tirado lucky to not see a first half red for a challenge on Kaylan Rumbo – on another day he may have seen red not yellow. They did have the only real notable chance of the half though, with Juan Manuel Llaves firing wide after being set up by Salvador Garcia Martin.
Both Martin and Llaves had second half chances but found Chino Goldwin in the way, with the keeper making a handful of good saves to keep the score goalless. In the end, the draw was probably a fair result, a rare goalless encounter in the Premier Division.
