Former Lincoln Red Imps boss Raul Procopio has been confirmed as the new manager of St Joseph’s.
Procopio, who joined Chiclana CF just two months ago, will succeed Alfonso Cortijo who has joined Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan.
Guillermo De Castro Maqueda has also been appointed as Raul Procopio’s assistant which has meant that Cortijo’s backroom staff, which signed new contracts in the summer, have left the club.
One player who is rumoured to not be happy with the appointment is goalkeeper Jordan Perez, who lost his number one spot to Raul Navas after Procopio joined Lincoln Red Imps back in 2014.
St Joseph’s currently sit third in the Premier Division table and Procopio’s first game in charge will be against Lynx on the 9th January.
