The second half got underway with Cannons on the attack, Cristobal Fernandez’s shot was excellently saved by Red Imps 15-year old debutant keeper Jaylan Hankins. Red Imps had a great chance to equalise, Graeme Torrilla’s through ball found Cesar Rosa, the striker’s shot was saved by Mariscal.
With ten minutes remaining Daniel Navarro dispossessed Luis Consigliero and ran through on goal, his shot was excellently saved by Hankins. Four minutes later Cannons doubled their lead, Daniel Navarro latched onto a through ball and coolly slotted his shot past an on-rushing Hankins.
Cannons were able to hold on for the last few minutes and secure their second win of the season which sees them rise to ninth. Another poor display from Red Imps saw them suffer their sixth defeat of the season. The players were not good enough today, as Cannons dominated for the majority of the game.
